    Gil Kerlikowske Sworn in on May 7, 2009 as Director of National Drug Control Policy.

    Former Chief of Police for the Seattle Police Department brings nearly four decades of law enforcement and drug policy experience to the position.

    The new Drug Czar will engage with Federal, State, and local partners to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that reduces flow of drugs in our communities.     That's great hopefully something will change, it seems that meth is becoming a bigger problem every day. We need more people that are willing to be tough on drugs and crime and seriously work to stop the flow of drugs. Obviously this isn't going to change anything major but it is a small step, and that's what counts in the end.

    this is awesome news! They need to stop it at the borders. The Mexican cartels are bringing an enormous amount of drugs across the border, and now they're growing it on federal lands!
